Payment Arrangements

For the convenience of our patients we accept cash, personal checks, MasterCard and Visa. When we perform our services at a particular visit, it is your responsibility to pay for these services at that appointment. For procedures that are completed in a single visit, such as cleanings or simple fillings, full payment is expected at that appointment. For procedures that require multiple visits, such as bridgework or denture fabrication, you may pay half the fee when treatment is started and the other half on case completion. The exception to this policy is for patients covered by dental benefits. Many times we do not receive payment from insurance companies until months after case completion. For this reason full payment of your copayment is expected upon starting the case.

Estimates
To make finances easier for you at subsequent appointments, we will give you an estimate of the total fee projected for the treatment to be rendered at the next visit. Please remember this is just an estimate. The treatment plan developed for you is based on visual, instrument, and x-ray examination of your oral cavity. It is impossible for such an examination to perfectly predict treatment outcome. Because of this, it is often the case that when beginning a procedure, we will find circumstances that the original examination did not reveal. This can and will alter the final fee for a particular visit. Every effort is made to give you an accurate account of your dental needs, but the complexity of the human body (extent of decay, depth of fractures, position of nerves, reaction of nerves to insult) is simply not fully apparent, in some instances, until treatment is underway.

Payment Consultation
We consider payment of your dental treatment to be your obligation. Any dental benefit for which you may be eligible is between you and the dental plan carrier that your employer has retained to provide coverage. We try to do all we can to help you understand and use these benefits. Our office is fully computerized and most claims are processed electronically to ensure accuracy. We will make every attempt to sequence your treatment in a way that maximizes your dental benefit while simultaneously prioritizing your treatment for the best potential outcome.

Please be aware that decisions regarding your treatment should not be solely based on your benefit coverage. Your treatment needs should be determined by you and your dentist, not by the restrictions of a dental plan. If you think the treatment you need and the treatment your dental benefits will pay for are the same, think again. They are by no means necessarily the same.

Third Party Payments (payment plan)
Note: For extensive treatment, third party financing is available through Care Credit. Approval is attainable within 5 minutes, includes low fixed interest rates, and for balances over $1,000, no interest if paid within the first 12 months.
